Thurgood Wynn joined the Ben Crump Law Firm in July 2024, bringing with him a profound commitment to service, leadership, and justice. Since joining the legal profession in 2022, he has quickly emerged as a skilled litigator and zealous advocate as a servant leader within the community.
Thurgood earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the United States Naval Academy, where he graduated and commissioned as an Information Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. His time in service was characterized by his strong work ethic and leadership across multiple commands resulting in two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and a promotion to Lieutenant.
Transitioning from the military to the legal arena, Thurgood pursued his Juris Doctorate from the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, graduating in 2022. During his time in law school, he was awarded the Pepperdine Caruso Law Belonging Awards Individual Student Award in recognition of his commitment to the community at Pepperdine Caruso Law, and as a champion for belonging and inclusion. He was also awarded the Parris Institute for Professional Excellence in Character Award, nominated by his peers, based on his integrity, character, and leadership. In addition to his Juris Doctorate, Thurgood also earned his Master’s in Dispute Resolution from the internationally recognized Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University.
Before becoming part of the Ben Crump Law team, Thurgood worked as a Deputy District Attorney in both Sacramento and Ventura County, where he handled various cases ranging from misdemeanors to felonies, achieving numerous successful verdicts and earning a positive trial success rating.
Admitted to practice law in the state of California in 2022, Thurgood operates out of the firm’s Los Angeles Office. His deep commitment to justice, coupled with his passion for providing a voice to the disenfranchised, reflects his ongoing commitment to creating a legacy for being a trailblazer in the legal profession.
