About the Law School Scholarship
Ben Crump, the founder of Ben Crump Law PLLC, dedicates his law practice in ensuring that
people who are powerful never get away with harming those who are powerless. Crump and
his legal team believe that the world grows into a better place when power is not wielded, but
rather shared. We share power by sharing knowledge. One way we share knowledge is through
mentorship.
Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, “What are you doing
for others?’”
Law school challenges even the brightest students. A mentor can prop a flailing student up and
encourage them to keep moving, keeping them focused on the task at hand, rather than the
overwhelming bigger picture.
When the law school student graduates, another breed of challenges steps into the picture.
They all have to do with applying the theory of academia to the real world of law practice.
We created the Law School Scholarship for two reasons: to help a promising, driven law school
student pursue their dream and to create a discussion, maybe even ignite a passion for the
power of mentoring.
