Attorney Robert Leanza Williams, Jr., is of counsel at Ben Crump Law in Atlanta. He has a passion for justice and will bring the full breath of his legal and life experience when he represents you. As a former Miami-Dade County prosecutor, he understands that even if the evidence is stacked up against you, you deserve a second chanceand he will fight relentlessly to get you that second chance. As a former firefighter/EMT, he has been on the scene of many accidents fighting to save accident victims after they have been injured by no fault of their own. Mr. Williams began his legal career as a prosecutor cutting his teeth on hundreds of DUI and misdemeanor cases. During his tenure, he was promoted several times. He specialized in the criminal, juvenile, and felony divisions, prosecuting cases including theft, aggravated battery, drug trafficking, domestic violence, sex crimes, and homicide. During this assignment, Mr. Williams honed his trial skills and continued to perfect his craft, while carrying caseloads near the 300 count.
His resume includes serving in the United States Marine Corps, earning a B.S. from Florida State University, serving as a firefighter for the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and earning J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami. Further, his experience includes an internship with the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office and a judicial summer clerkship.
On a more personal note, Mr. Williams attended Miami Beach Senior high school and dropped out at the age of 17 to join the Marine Corps. While stationed in Hawaii, Mr. Williams later earned his High School Diploma from St. Louis high school. The Marine Corps selected him for the BOOST Program (Broadened Opportunity for Officer Selection and Training Program), where he went on to earn a college scholarship and graduate with B.S. in Political Science from Florida State University.
While at Florida State, he played for legendary football coach Bobby Bowden. He also pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated.
What he believes to be the most significant achievement of his life is marrying his best friend and partner, the amazing Cynthia Joy Brown Williams, who is a brilliant entrepreneur and real estate broker.
