Brooke Cluse, Esq. joined Ben Crump Law in 2023 as an attorney and the executive liaison to Attorney Ben Crump. Attorney Cluse is a skilled litigator and advocate for the disenfranchised. She zealously defended and sought justice for hundreds of clients while serving as a public defender for the Felony Trial Division of the Harris County Public Defender’s Office in Houston, TX. Her devotion to safeguarding her clients’ equal protection under the law resulted in numerous case dismissals and professional accolades, eventually earning the attention of Attorney Crump.
In addition to Attorney Cluse’s litigation savvy, she is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Attorney Cluse worked for one of the largest insurance companies in America as a spokeswoman for media and community relations and as an independent agent. Her corporate skill set and business acumen suited her well and garnered much success in the insurance industry. However, Attorney Cluse’s ambition is fueled by challenging injustice and providing a voice to the voiceless, which ultimately led her to pursue civil rights litigation.
Attorney Cluse was born and raised in Lafayette, LA, where she grew up watching her parents, both ministers and retired educators, serve the community as social justice activists. She followed in their footsteps, graduating magna cum laude from Grambling State University in Grambling, LA, also her parents’ alma mater. Attorney Cluse obtained her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in Houston, TX. While at South Texas, she excelled in criminal defense and trial advocacy clinics. She is also a certified mediator in the state of Texas.
Her professional affiliations include the State Bar of Texas, National Bar Association, Houston Lawyers Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (Taskforce on Police Accountability), Houston Area Urban League, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.
