FORT WAYNE, Ind. (May 22, 2026) — Nationally renowned civil rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump and Attorney Sue-Ann Robinson of Ben Crump Law have been retained by the family of Anita Grayson, a 75-year-old woman who died following a physical altercation at a Tim Hortons restaurant in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, Ms. Grayson entered the restaurant on the morning of May 13, 2026, and became involved in a physical altercation with an employee. She later became unresponsive inside the restaurant and was pronounced dead after being transported from the scene. Police have released surveillance footage from the location and have said the case has been forwarded to the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
The Allen County Prosecutor’s Office has said no decision will be made until it has received and reviewed all evidence related to the investigation, including the complete report from the Allen County Coroner’s Office. The coroner’s office has said the cause and manner of Ms. Grayson’s death remains pending and its findings may take several weeks.
