Liza A. Park is the Senior Attorney in the Atlanta office of Ben Crump Law. She spent two decades balancing a career in the media and public relations as well as a career as a full-time practicing attorney.
As a trial attorney, Ms. Park has handled cases involving a myriad of personal injury cases including wrongful death, all types of premises liability, vehicle accidents, and slip & fall cases. She has spent many years guiding and organizing media coverage of high-profile and public interest cases. She has been recognized with various awards and distinctions throughout her legal career.
As a former television news anchor, reporter and producer, Ms. Park has won national awards for her documentary work and several Associated Press awards for her news stories and series pieces. She has also served as an adjunct professor at Florida State University College of Communication teaching television reporting, hosting and interviewing and was previously the press secretary/legal researcher for a Senator in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Ms. Park began her legal career serving as an assistant state attorney in Florida prosecuting crimes from DUI to murder. She then joined Attorney Ben Crump’s law firm in Tallahassee focusing on high profile personal injury and civil rights cases. She was both a trial attorney and the director of public and media relations. While practicing as an attorney during the weekdays, Ms. Park also served as a weekend news at the local CBS affiliate station and anchored a political show for Florida Public Television.
Ms. Park moved to Georgia in 2012 and focused on Georgia cases. In her personal time, Ms. Park founded and opened a public charter school. It is a dual language immersion K-8 school called Yi Hwang Academy of Language Excellence or YHALE for short. Under Ms. Park’s leadership as the governing board chairperson, YHALE has excelled and is ranked as the top charter school in the state of Georgia.
Ms. Park is from Dothan, Alabama. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University with bachelor degrees in both Media Performance and English. She also graduated from Florida State University’s College of Law. While at FSU, Ms. Park was elected student body president and was a founder of Burning Spear, Inc., a leadership honor society.
Ms. Park is licensed to practice in Georgia, Florida and Alabama. She has formerly worked with the State Attorneys Office of the 2nd Judicial Circuit of Florida, Parks & Crump Law Firm, Senator Alicia Hansen of the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Law Firm of David Joyner, Steel & Moss Law Firm, and the Kaine Law Firm. She has been a news anchor for the Florida Channel, WFSU, WTVY, and WCTV; and she has been the host of weekly TV shows such Classroom Connection, Savory Saturdays with Liza Park, and Law Talk.
