GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –– On Monday, April 10, nationally renowned civil rights and personal injury attorneys Ben Crump and Ven Johnson will hold a press conference to reveal substantial new evidence in their civil lawsuit against the City of Grand Rapids and former Grand Rapids police officer Christopher Schurr following the killing of Patrick Lyoya April 4, 2022.
Crump and Johnson will discuss police expert sworn affadavits which detail multiple police policies and procedures which Schurr blatantly ignored. Members of the Lyoya family will be in attendance. The media is invited to attend in-person or virtually.
