The National Bar Association will issue statement on racial profiling
CHICAGO, Ill. (July 28, 2025) –– Nationally renowned civil rights attorneys Ben Crump, Harry Daniels, and Sue-Ann Robinson will join William McNeil Jr., his family, and Reverend Jesse Jackson for a Tuesday news conference to address a new angle of the video showing a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) officer pointing a gun at McNeil.
On February 19, McNeil, a student at Livingstone College, was pulled over by JSO officers who claimed he did not have his headlights on. When McNeil calmly asked to speak with a supervisor, officers responded by smashing his window and punching him in the face multiple times.
