ATLANTA, Ga. (June 10, 2025) –– Nationally renowned civil rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump will hold a Wednesday press conference with co-counsel from Saltz, Mongeluzzi, Bendesky, PC to announce a lawsuit on behalf of those who tragically lost their lives or were injured in the catastrophic gangway bridge collapse in Sapelo Island, Georgia.
The October 2024 collapse claimed seven lives and left others injured as hundreds gathered for the annual Cultural Day event honoring the Gullah-Geechee community of Black slave descendants. The lawsuit seeks justice and accountability for this preventable tragedy.
