WASHINGTON, D.C. – Nationally renowned civil rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump, members of the Congressional Black Caucus, and the families of Breonna Taylor, Tyre Nichols, and Sonya Massey will hold a Friday news conference to address the urgent need for criminal justice reform and provide updates on legislative efforts.
The news conference comes as the federal trial in the death of Tyre Nichols is currently ongoing, a judge recently dismissed two felony charges for former officers involved in Breonna Taylor’s death, and as the former officer who shot and killed Sonya Massey is fighting to appeal denial of his pretrial release.
