ATLANTA, Ga. (May 26, 2026) – Nationally renowned civil rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump and the family of Jason Marshall-Haynes will hold a Wednesday news conference to call for justice and accountability in the police shooting of 19-year-old Jason Marshall-Haynes.
Jason Marshall-Haynes, 19, was shot by law enforcement officers in Rockdale County during a mental health crisis. According to the family, Jason was unarmed and naked at the time of the encounter, and he was clearly experiencing a mental health episode. Officers shot Jason despite him posing no physical threat at that time, according to the family.
