ATLANTA, Ga. (May 5, 2026) –– Nationally renowned civil rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump will join Rashaad Muhammad and community leaders for a rally and public comment at the Fulton County Commission meeting. Muhammad plans to speak about his devastating medical crisis he says was ignored while he was in custody at the Fulton County Jail.
Muhammad, who lost both legs and all of his fingers, alleges a critical delay in medical care at the Fulton County Jail led to irreversible, life-altering amputations. A condition he describes as treatable escalated into a catastrophic outcome after repeated pleas for help went unanswered.
Supporters will gather for a rally to demand accountability, transparency, and urgent reform in jail medical care. Following the rally, Muhammad and his legal team will address the Fulton County Commission directly, calling for immediate oversight and systemic change to prevent similar tragedies.
