ORLANDO, Fla. Nationally renowned civil rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump of Ben Crump Law and Honorable John Martinez of Hilliard Martinez Gonzales will announce the filing of a lawsuit on behalf of Linda Stephens, a 70-year-old retired Black teacher who was the victim of racial discrimination at a MidFlorida Credit Union Branch.
The lawsuit names MidFlorida as a defendant and alleges that they discriminated against, neglected, and caused emotional distress to Stephens when they called the police on her after she expressed concern about a deposit for her mortgage not appearing in her account due to an error on the bank’s end. During the arrest, Stephens who had never been arrested before, suffered a fractured nose.
