St. Louis, Mo. (May 16, 2026) –– Nationally renowned civil rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump will join local leaders and residents for a site visit and community engagement opportunity and news conference on Saturday. They will mark the one-year anniversary of the May 16, 2025, tornado, recognize the resilience of impacted residents, and call for continued support for communities still recovering from the storm.
The visit will take place in the 12th Ward, within the Kingsway East and Greater Ville communities, two neighborhoods among the hardest hit by the EF3 tornado that carved a path through North St. Louis. One year later, many residents in these predominantly Black neighborhoods continue to face unresolved damage, inadequate recovery resources, and ongoing displacement.
