CHICAGO, Ill. — Nationally renowned civil rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump will hold a news conference with plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit against GEICO. For the first time publicly, minority-business owners who were formerly employed with the agency will detail how GEICO, as alleged in the Complaint, unfairly and unlawfully deprived them of critical business opportunities.
The Plaintiffs allege breach of contract in relation to policy renewal commissions, as well as unjust enrichment by the insurance industry giants. While Berkshire Hathaway, GEICO’s parent corporation, announced on Saturday at their annual shareholder’s meeting a record 39% increase in operating earnings, they have failed to address GEICO’s unfair treatment of these hardworking Americans.
The impact of GEICO’s actions is well documented in the Complaint filed in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland on November 7, 2023.
