AURORA, Colo. (September 11, 2025) – Nationally renowned civil rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump, co-counsel and Colorado civil rights attorney Milo Schwab, and members of the family of Rajon Belt-Stubblefield will hold a news conference to respond to the viewing of body camera footage related to Belt-Stubblefield’s killing by Aurora police on August 30.
Belt-Stubblefield, 37, was shot and killed in front of his 18-year-old son after a traffic stop in Aurora. Bystander video has already raised disturbing questions about the use of force, and the family will address what they saw in the official police footage.
Attorney Crump released the following statement:
“Rajon Belt-Stubblefield was a father, a son, and a beloved member of his community. He should be alive today. What his 18-year-old son witnessed on that day is unimaginable, brutal trauma that no child should ever endure. We are demanding answers, transparency, and accountability. The community deserves the truth, and this family deserves justice.”
