LOS ANGELES (Feb. 2, 2026) –– Nationally renowned civil rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump will join the family of Keith Porter Jr. and their attorney, Jamal Tooson, as the family holds a press conference to address the fatal shooting of Keith Porter Jr. The 43-year-old father of two was shot and killed one month ago this week by an off-duty U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent on New Year’s Eve outside his apartment complex in Los Angeles.
Attorney Tooson, who represents the Porter family and serves as counsel in the case, will address members of the media on new developments in the case and to advocate for the immediate arrest of the involved ICE agent. Attorney Crump will join other national civil rights leaders to call on California Attorney General Rob Bonta to conduct an independent investigation.
