TITUSVILLE, Fla. –– Attorneys Natalie Jackson and the family of James Lowery will hold a news conference on April 24 to publicly comment on the plea and sentencing of Titusville Police Officer Joshua Payne who was charged with manslaughter in the death of James Lowery. Lowery’s sister, Johari Brown, will present a victim impact statement before the sentencing.
On December 26, 2021, James Lowery was shot in the back of the head by Officer Joshua Payne.
