MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. –– Nationally renowned civil rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump of Ben Crump Law will attend a dedication ceremony at St. Thomas University during which the law school will officially be named the Benjamin L. Crump College of Law. The ceremony will conclude with the unveiling of signage officially naming the college The Benjamin L. Crump College of Law.
This will be the first law school in the country named after a practicing Black attorney. The only other law school in the country named for a Black person is named after Attorney Crump’s personal hero, Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall.
