BOSTON, Mass. (May 19, 2026) – Nationally renowned civil rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump issued the following statement regarding the indictment against Boston Police Officer Nicholas O’Malley in the case surrounding the fatal police shooting of Stephenson King Jr. in Roxbury.
Stephenson King Jr., a 39-year-old Black man, was fatally shot by Nicholas O’Malley on March 11, 2026. Officer O’Malley was later arrested and charged with manslaughter in connection with the shooting. The case continues to draw widespread public attention and renewed conversations surrounding police accountability, transparency, civil rights and the use of force.
