MISSION, Kan. (September 22, 2025) –– Nationally renowned civil rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump will join attorneys Harry Daniels and Sue-Ann Robinson, the family of Charles Adair, and community advocates at a Tuesday news conference to address the summons issued for the corrections officer involved in Adair’s death and to issue calls for the release of video evidence.
Attorney Crump issued the following statement:
“Charles Adair should be alive today. His family deserves to know why he was left with a cracked sternum and severe injuries while in the care of this jail. The district attorney has already found enough evidence to issue a summons, and now it’s time for the truth to come out and for this process to move forward without delay.”
